Once again, in an effort to support the City's "Let's Band Together" campaign, the Neighborhood Matching Grants Program is offering a special neighborhood matching grant for tree banding projects. Your neighborhood organization may be eligible for this grant if your neighborhood is located in the cankerworm infestation problem area. Attached is a brochure with additional information, including the pre-application workshop dates and locations. There will be no aerial spraying this year. If someone is interested in heading this up and wants to attend the workshop, and can help pull up the required match in volunteer hours and cash match / donations we can consider doing this banding this year as a grant.
Grants are a nice benefit to our communites, but do require a lot of work.
