This morning while watching the local news a story was revealed that not only is a tugger of the heart strings it will rip your heart out. I am sure all are aware that there is a program called pilot's for paws. A grouping of pilot's transport free of charge animals that are destined for death to various facilities that are against euthanasia and for finding adoptable families.
That is the good part. This is the bad, last year over 225,000 animals were murdered, yes murdered. I use the word murder because of the way these animals are put down. Lonely, scared, confused as to why they are there. move ahead 72hrs. these same animals are removed from cages and crammed into a small, cold, dark room. All of a sudden these animals start choking, vomiting blood, full loss of control of the bowels, violent tremmors turning to full rigidity and eventually death.
72hrs. is about the max for any animal at animal control. After that death. I was shocked to learn of the gassing. If anyone is lokking for a new pet , please, please, please adopt from animal control. Also take the time to research the animal type that you wish to adopt. Remember that owning a pet is a big responsiblity and requires alot of your time and love but the pleasure you derive from that animal far surpasses the cons.
