The Accountable Woman : Women in Transition

The Women’s Empowerment Conference, hosted by ForeSight Leadership Training and co-sponsored by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Community Relations Committee and Kontagious Magazine, is designed for youth 14 – 17 and women 18 and older from diverse cultural, social, political and economic backgrounds to build relationships that strengthen our community.

The purpose of the conference is to address the spiritual, social, emotional, physical and financial needs of our youth and women. This conference will encourage and empower participants to accept personal responsibility as an individual and become more effective in roles within our families, churches, jobs, schools and community.

The conference will provide practical strategies and solutions that enhance the lives of the youth and women as well as benefit our community.

Conference Objectives:

• Provide practical, evidence-based strategies that promote transparent dialogue among youth and women

• Share strategies and solutions that equip and empower participants to enhance their lives

• Foster an environment whereby participants from diverse cultural, social, political and economic backgrounds identify solutions and work cooperatively to better the community
