The Mecklenburg Extension Master Gardeners will offer a wide selection of plants for sale Sept. 19 at two area farmers markets. The plants are grown by master gardeners from their own gardens.
Master gardeners are volunteers with special training who work with the N.C. Cooperative Extension Service. Items include sun and shade perennials, herbs, ground covers, indoor plants, shrubs and trees. Master Gardeners will be on site to offer advice and answer questions.
Plant prices range from $2 to $20.
The plant sales are at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market, Building A, 1801 Yorkmont Road, Charlotte, 7 a.m.-1 p.m., and at the Matthews Community Farmers' Market, 188 N. Trade St., Matthews, 8 a.m.-noon. Details: Shannon Stober, sbstober@gmail.com
