Charlotte Fire Department is in the area checking smoke detectors / batteries and so forth. I saw a male going door to door caring a small ladder/ / box/ and black bag. I didn't see a vehicile. Thought it looked a bit odd so I inquired and it is legit. A few minutes later a fire truck came around the corner with more fire fighters doing the same thing. .
So if you see or get a knock on the door today it is legit!
