Just wanted to let everyone know that my mom passed away today at 3:42 p.m. She passed very peacefully and without pain or any suffering – just took a few deep breaths and quietly slipped away; we were all there with her and thankful that it was easy for her. Thank you all for your support and thoughts and prayers for her and for my family; it truly makes a difference knowing that there are so many people who care.
At mom’s request, we are not having a traditional service for her. We will receive friends at Whitley’s Funeral Home in Kannapolis Friday night from 7 – 8:30 p.m., and will hold a memorial celebration for her in the Spring. For those who may ask, in lieu of flowers, we have requested that memorials please be made to the Levine & Dickson Hospice House, in sincere gratitude for the excellent care provided to mom and to all of us over the past two weeks.
