There is a lot of surveying taking place in my area of Madison Park (the Old Woods area) especially in my back yard which backs up to a drainage creek.  I was told by a surveyor that there may be some sewer repair/replacment but the surveyor didn't know specifics.  They have been in my area for the past few days.  Anyone know specifics?

Thanks!

Storm Water Services City announced a couple of months ago at a public meeting on flooding in our community that they had identified some erosion problems in a section of the drainage creek that was under the South Blvd. Phase II work that was completed last year.

There was also a mention that raw sewage had escaped in a recent flood.  City and County staff spoke of testing the lines to check for leaks at this meeting.  I never heard any outcome from that conversation.

I believe the errosion problem is going to be up in the area you are referring to.   At the time of the meeting the problem was being studied and no plans on how to correct it had been announced.

This flooding and erosion problem was briefly mentioned in the Madison Park Oct. 12th, 2009 minutes on line under newsletters on this site.

I would suggest you contact Jennifer Smith to see if she can give you specifics on this project.   If she can't help she can get you to a person that can provide you with details.

Your area of the stream falls under the City of Charlotte Storm Water Services!

One more question, you said that my area of the stream falls under City of Charlotte Storm Water Services, where do the other parts of the stream fall under?
