FOUND LOST ST BERNARD

Posted in: Madison Park

I was driving to work this morning and I drove up on a big fella wandering around in the street at the intersection of Stanfield and Seacoft. He is brown and white with a blue collar.  He does not have any tags on his collar so I waited with him for a little while but I didnt hear anyone looking or calling for him.  I walked him to my house and he is currently in my fenced in back yard playing with my boxer.  If you know who he may belong to please give me a call at 704-609-3733 or at 704-969-3954.

Thanks

A suggestion. If you have not already done this it might be helpful to let Animal Control know you found the dog.

A. they might come and scan it for a chip to try and ID the owner.

B. if the owner is looking for the dog (I am sure they will), and calls Animal Control they can connect you with the owner.

If you find a stray animal, you may either turn the animal in to us or file a found report.  You must do one or the other, otherwise an owner could never find his animal.  The found reports are kept in the lobby for owners to peruse and determine if someone may have their pets.  If you choose to try and find the owner yourself, please remember to check Lost & Found classified ads in newspapers and on local bulletin boards

If you wish to try the chip suggestion call 311 and see if Animal Control is willing to do this for you.  Local vets will also scan a dog for free if you find one.  Problem in this case I assume would be getting him to the vet.  Maybe you could ride him.  Teasing!
