I apologize for the short notice for the following event, but I only recently received the email.

A couple of weeks ago I forwarded an announcement about the “Men Who Care” meeting to discuss issues and solutions related to young black males.  The announcement below is to invite women to gather for the same kind of discussion.  Please share this with your friends, relatives, or associates who might be interested in attending.  Questions should be directed to either Brian Freeland at 704-502-1137 or Brian Bullock at 704-607-1117.  If interested in participating, RSVP at http://www.theelmp.com/WomenWhoCare.html.

Thanks!

Ladies, you are cordially invited to attend the "Women Who Care" breakfast meeting being held on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the IBM Conference Center from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss solutions to the black male teen crisis. We invite women from community service organizations, corporate America, law enforcement, the legal system, the educational system, the healthcare system, stay-at-home mothers, and all other women who are genuinely concerned about the plight of black male teens to share your ideas for effective solutions. We want to hear from you!

It only takes watching the news, reading the newspapers, or simply observing behavior in the community to realize that too many black male teens are literally throwing their lives away. We need women (regardless to race, culture, income level, educational level, or religion) to meet with us to discuss a plan that will teach black male teens how to value their lives and be positive contributors to society. So, please plan to attend the "Women Who Care" breakfast meeting to network with other women who are also concerned about the black male teen crisis. If you have any questions about the meeting, please call Brian Freeland at 704.502.1137 or Brian Bulluck at 704.532.2626.

This breakfast meeting is being sponsored by the Emerging Leaders Mentorship Program for Black Males. Therefore, we extend a very SPECIAL invitation to the mothers of Emerging Leaders currently enrolled in the Program to share your feedback too.

Please RSVP using the link below to network with positive women who care about the plight of black male teens. Currently 175 women have confirmed attendance. So please bring your business cards! Please arrive early to get good seats.
