The only benefit that would of ever really been was when the other bridge was out. Had the city already put in a new bridge that would of helped connect the two sides of the community. But really it is only a short jog down the block to cross at Bradbury. Probably shorter for some than others since that Seneca Place to Seneca Place stretch of Wedgewood have always had numerous complaints directly to the HOA and to CDOT regarding speeding.
That was the main reason for the soon to be installed, if not already up, new all stops at the Wedgewood Murrayhill intersection nearest the school. Residents have been requesting that intersection become and all stop for 6 plus years that I know.
I feel pretty certain the flood plain will turn out to be the saving grace! I would hate to think they put another bridge in and caused any more problems for those residents already having to deal with flooding. Not to mention the hassle of increased traffic and speeding.
