Channel 9 Eyewitness News Chief Meteorologist Steve Udelson is asking viewers to donate new or gently used coats for needy children in the Charlotte area. The 6th annual "Steve's Coats for Kids" coat drive runs through Friday, January 15.

 

Please drop off coats at any Charlotte Fire Station.

 

All coats will be distributed by Crisis Assistance Ministry.

One of our Madison Park residents alerted me to this coat drive and said she had dropped off a coat yesterday at our Local Fire Station 12 on Inwood.   She said the barrel is located directly inside the entrance and the firefighters appreciate residents bringing in coats or even sweaters new or gently used.   Please look around and if you have a coat or jacket you can part with, or not using, consider giving it up for a good cause and drop it off at Station 12.
