Election Day polls are open from 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 p.m??‹. The next election is a Primary June 7, 2016.

This will most likely be the last election that you can register and Vote the SAME DAY at Early Voting.

The NC ID laws have been upheld.

For this special June Primary One Stop Early Voting will Still take place.  One Stop Means if you vote at one of the early voting sites you can vote and register to vote the same day.  ID of course is still required.

Make sure you are registered if you want your vote to count on Election Day.

You Simply Cannot register to vote on election day!

Remember in most cases OUT OF STATE DL's are not valid for your NC Accepted ID.   They are only good for  90 days after your register to vote.    That means if you come in to vote even if you are in the poll books you will still need one of the NC Acceptable ID's to vote if that out of state ID is more than 90 days since you registered to VOTE.    Get a NC State ID if you don't want to get a NC DL, or bring in a passport.   Both of these will allow you to cast your vote on election day.

Also remember if you get a paper ballot mailed to you prior to the election, during the acceptable time frame.   You can do that now and you are not required to show and ID to vote from home.

Download the request form from Meclenburg Board of elections web site.

Get that ballot mailed by clicking this link for the form and doing it by the deadline.
