It use to be if they didn't get you on your regular week it would be no later than the next week. 

I called something in yesterday 6/13/16 and was shocked that it will not be picked up until 7/21/16.  Over a 1 month wait. 

Lets see we pay more for services next year and we are waiting weeks for pickup of some items.  Fees going up again in 2017.

What are you guys doing with our TAX MONEY!

I know TV's cost around 300K in Mecklenburg County to get rid of each year.   This is not a TV.

You are going to cause more illegal dumping in the county if you don't fix this issue.

Mr Doss,

I was forwarded your email from our department's director (Victoria Johnson). Please accept our apology for any inconvenience this matter has caused. The City of Charlotte's Solid Waste Services Department is striving to resolve the delays in scheduling bulky items as quickly as possible.

As you stated, during the warmer months citizens can expect a 2- to 3- week delay in our appliance collection services due to the increased volumes of requests. To remedy scheduling delays beyond this time period, management has increased the number of slots available. Solid Waste will also monitor the remaining months to minimize similar scheduling conflicts.

(I am glad they are addressing this issue!)  I have seen increased dumping of bulk items along our streets, in the parks are recycling centers, and the county is dealing with several illegal dump sites.   Not to mention appliances sitting in the driveways and yards is a code violation.    Hopefully they will get bulk items back on track for Charlotte Citizens soon.  

I got my bulk scheduled and took the items to the curb.  Someone has already taken them.  Which is fine, but which I had known they wanted the items to start with and I would not of gone to so much trouble to schedule the pickups.   

Canceled the pickups so they don't make a wasted trip.
