Nominate Those Who Strengthen Our Neighborhoods!

What does it mean to be recognized for our work in the community? Take a moment to hear from past winners of the Neighborhood Leadership Awards and let it serve as inspiration for nominating a neighborhood organization, nonprofit or business this year. The awards honor neighborhood groups, nonprofits and businesses that are helping to strengthen Charlotte's neighborhoods. This year's winners will be recognized at a luncheon, part of the 2017 Neighborhood Exchange & Leadership Awards (NEXLA), on Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Charlotte Convention Center. Award categories include:

    • Community Safety Ambassador Award
    • Embracing Diversity Award
    • Good Neighbors Award
    • Moving Charlotte Forward Award
    • Sustainability Leadership Award
    • Community Service Award (For Profit/Business)
    • Community Service Award (Nonprofit/Not for profit)
    • Neighborhood - School Engagement Award

Nominate an organization today. The deadline is Friday, August 18. Also register for NEXLA by Monday, Sept. 11, so you can meet and share ideas with community members from across the City as well as give input on ways to improve Charlotte's neighborhoods.
