Dear Marty,
On April 1st, 2018, SilverDuck Tree Banding Services LLC will begin its TREE BAND REMOVAL service, and will be monitoring numerous traps to determine when the Cankerworms are starting to hatch.
Once we confirm that the worms are active and feeding, we will start our TREE SPRAYING SERVICE immediately, as there is a short window in which spraying can effectively control worms. This usually starts within the first week of April.
Typically, tree spraying is effective for 4-5 weeks every year. Due to rain, we average 20-23 days of active spraying annually, so our schedule is very tight!
If you are planning on having your trees sprayed this year, please reply back to this email with an affirmative answer as soon as possible. Our clients will be added on a first come, first serve basis.
We are already contracted to spray over 2000 trees in Charlotte, and a few large areas for the City of Rock Hill, so get on our list now!

Our Tree Spraying prices are as follows:
- Current Banding Customers = $55.00 for the first tree/$25.00 each additional
- Non-Banding Customers = $75.00 for the first tree/$30.00 each additional
- *Trees + Yard Package (all shrubs, flowers, gardens, etc) = $75.00
- We will provide a Flat Rate for customers with large, wooded lots.
*The yard package can only be included with Tree Spraying. Yard Package is not available as an individual service.
Please note that no other tree care company in the Charlotte area has a tree spraying unit that can reach heights of 100+ feet. Our rig is custom built specifically for tall tree spraying. We know of no other company that can spray over 50 feet hight. Keep in mind that cankerworms must ingest this bacteria in order for it to kill them.

Customers having their trees sprayed will have their bands removed at the same time.
We use a 100% Organic spray solution containing water, soybean oil (as a sticking agent), and a bacteria called B.T.K. You can find information on this bacterium on our website. It is the same spray used by the City of Charlotte when they do aerial spraying. We apply a huge volume of this solution to your trees compared with spraying from a plane.
For those customers who DO NOT want their trees sprayed, you need not do anything. Your home will be on our removal schedule. Customers with locked or secured yards must inform us so that we can schedule your home for an exact date and time.
Customers who have outstanding invoices will not be added to our route. We will not remove your bands.
If our team has already been to your area to remove bands, we will only come back to your home to remove the traps for a $25.00 service charge. Also, please note due to the volume of response and other factors you may not receive confirmation of your request before March 21st.
