Join us for the Neighborhood Exchange: Spark Ideas Into Action breakfast and panel discussion, a free event sponsored by the City of Charlotte. This year’s featured presentation will be “Home(town) Security” by Majora Carter, a leading urban revitalization strategist, real estate developer, and Peabody award-winning broadcaster. Charlotte Career Discovery Day: Call for Vendors and Volunteers
Inspire high school students at the fifth annual Charlotte Career Discovery Day (CCDD), held April 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Charlotte Convention Center. Four thousand students will explore interactive exhibits at this event to learn more about different career paths.
We are currently seeking businesses to showcase careers to the next generation of employees. Visit our website to learn more and to register as a CCDD vendor. We are also seeking volunteers to help with this event. If you’d like to volunteer, please contact us. CCDD is a collaboration between the City of Charlotte and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) with support from various community stakeholders. -
University City Job Fair on March 16
Looking for a job? Join us at the University City Job Fair on March 16 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Camino Community Center, located near the new University City Boulevard light rail station. Come and meet local employers looking to fill part-time, full-time and seasonal job opportunities. • Do not park on the front lawn
• Call 311 to schedule a bulky item pick-up
• Inoperable vehicles may be placed in the rear yard with an acceptable canvas cover
