I saw a greenway presentation today at the 5th Luesa University which is a training day for the Luesa Departments of Mecklenburg County.
It was said the Greenway from Tyvola Road to Huntington Farms will be opening toward the end of June 2018 Officially.
(also just a note): I had someone call me a couple of weeks ago and asked me what that new road was down by Little Sugar Creek. THAT IS NOT A ROAD! It is part of the greenway. Do not drive on it. For bikes and feet only!
City is completing the missing section from Park Road Shopping Center to Tyvola. It is being studied and planned now. Construction is expected to start in the fall of 2018 with completion taking about 18 months.
So good things to look forward to with the Greenways near our community!
