It's tree banding time
The Madison Park Homeowners Association is applying for the tree-banding grant from the City of Charlotte's Neighborhood and Business Services (NBS). Upon approval, this grant will provide Madison Park with $3,000 to fight the cankerworm infestation that has taken root in our neighborhood. Cankerworms can weaken trees over time. Treebanding is an investment in the health of your trees and the benefits they provide.
As in previous years, we will be working with SilverDuck Treebanding. They provide their services to the neighborhood for a flat rate of $40 per tree. Their pricing helps cover half of the cost for 150 neighborhood trees. For the first two(2) trees you would like to band, the grant fund will cover 50% of the cost (or $20 per tree). If you would like to have additional trees banded (beyond the two per household covered by the grant) SilverDuck will band them at the $40 neighborhood flat rate. Please send a separate check with your Tree Branding Form for the additional trees.
Please Note: This program is offered on a first come, first serve basis. Do not delay in your response and payment. This year, we are limiting the grant fund to 2 trees per household. This is being done to allow more homeowners to participate.
