[ Weekend in View: What's happening in Charlotte ] Find all the fun at 6558 Bruton Smith Blvd., near Charlotte Motor Speedway. Fair hours are from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Tickets purchased before March 13 cost $8 for ages 12 and older, and $4 for kids ages 5-11. Tickets purchased after March 12 cost $10/$5, plus fees. Children age 4 and younger are admitted free. Admission includes shows and petting zoo. Midway rides cost extra. An unlimited ride wristband cost $15 if purchased before March 13. Wristbands purchased after March 12 will cost $25 Friday through Sunday and $20 on weekdays. Parking costs $5 (cash only). March 13th 2020 Report Reply

On Tuesdays, bring in two cans or a bag of pet food, a leash or pet toy to benefit a local animal shelter and admission will cost only $2. On Wednesdays, kids age 11 and younger get free admission. Bring a Charlotte Fair flyer/handbill -- available in dozens of retail locations throughout the area -- and receive $5 off an unlimited rides wristband. For more information, click here. (WBTV) - The Charlotte Fair closed its gate to the public Saturday at the request of the health department due to the concerns regarding the coronavirus outbreak, according to a post on its Facebook Page. The Charlotte Fair, which opened on Friday, will be closed until further notice. March 15th 2020 Report Reply
marty5223 Mentor Charlotte, NC 9610 Posts	UPDATE ON THE FAIR: At the request of the Health Department, we will be required to close the fair to the public until further notice. We’ve been advised that this is the best action we can take to help our community combat the Coronavirus. We will be offering full refunds for all non-used tickets purchased through Eventbrite. All admission refunds will be processed this evening and Wristband refunds will be processed over the weekend. We appreciate your support and understanding as we continue to respect the requirements from the CDC and health department officials.
