Subject: Important Stand For Animals Update

In light of the escalating COVID-19 pandemic, I am reaching out once again to update you on the status of Stand For Animals' current operations.

Effective immediately, we will only be open in a limited capacity to meet the needs of those in our community who require affordable veterinary care for their urgently sick pet.

Please be aware of the following changes:
  • All three veterinary clinic locations will only be open on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
  • We will only schedule urgent/sick appointments and fill prescriptions from our pharmacy.
  • Our online scheduler will be available for sick visit scheduling or you can call 704-970-2711 x117 to book an appointment.
  • To refill a prescription for your pet, email doctor@standforanimals.org or call 704-970-2711 x118. Prescriptions received before 12 pm will be filled and available for pickup between 1 pm and 4 pm. Prescriptions received after 12 pm will be available from 8 am to 11 am the next business day the clinic is open.
  • Thanks to COVID-19, we know many families are facing financial hardship. As always, we are committed to being a community resource by making it possible for you to provide treatment for your sick pet. If you need financial assistance, please click here to access our request form.
Our stringent cleaning procedures remain in place, but we are taking the additional step of meeting clients and their pets in our parking lot during sick visit admission and pharmacy pick up. This practice will enable us to maintain social distancing while making it possible to care for the sick pet and refill prescriptions.

At this point in time, I do not know when we will return back to our normal operating hours and services, but you will be the first to hear should anything change. Rescheduling spay neuter, annual and vaccine appointments will be our highest priority when we return to full operation.

We're counting on our clients to understand that this is an unprecedented situation and we are doing our best to make decisions in real time.

Thank you for your support.

Stay well,

Cary Bernstein, Founder & Executive Director of Stand For Animal
