Keeping Kids Healthy During Coronavirus
|
Doctor’s offices and hospitals are taking extra steps to protect everyone from coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). But what happens if your child needs a sick visit or checkup?
If you think your child has coronavirus symptoms, take a free online risk assessment or call 704-468-8888 to know where to go for care.
At Atrium Health, your child can keep getting the care they need, including options you can access from home:
|
|
24/7 Virtual Visits for sick visits from home
Your child can have a video visit for minor illnesses or injuries, including newborn feeding concerns. Virtual Visit is available for all ages any time of day.
Remote options for primary and specialty care
To help limit how much your child has to leave the house, many of our primary and specialty care doctors are now offering video and phone visits for routine and follow-up care. Your child’s doctor will help you decide if this is a good option for your family.
In-person care, when it makes sense
In some cases, your child’s doctor might say an in-person visit is best. Rest assured our offices are taking all the necessary steps to keep your family safe and healthy when you’re here.
Around-the-clock hospital care
If your child gets really sick or hurt, you can still get the advanced level of care they need at all Atrium Health hospitals. Though we do have visitor restrictions right now, parents and guardians can stay by their child’s side at all times.
If it’s a life-threatening emergency, call 911.
