We sure do have a lot of snakes this year. I have lived here since 10/96. Never really saw snakes. Had that one that feasted on my birds that were born above my porch column a few weeks ago in the middle of the night. I fought him off three times during the night over several hours. He struck at me over and over. He would leave and come back.
I know black snakes are said to be good for keeping unwanted critters away, however the one at my house was mean as hell and I hope to NEVER see it again.
My neighbor said she just stepped out her back door and very large snake with something quiet large in it was at the base of her door. It was heading to her utility closet which is in their house through a door next to the rear door.
Anyone else noticing an increase in snakes? The one at my house was not that fat but several feet long.
