CHARLOTTE — The lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic has claimed another iconic Charlotte restaurant.
On Thursday, the owners of Price’s Chicken Coop in South End announced on social media that after 59 years of serving the Queen City its famous fried chicken that June 19 would be its final day of business.
“It is with heavy hearts that The Chicken Coop has decided to close our doors after 59 years of business due to the labor shortage, rising food costs, food quality and another coin shortage” the post read.
