CDC changing again on mask.  This includes vaccinated folks.

I am in a covid study for the government  dept. Health / CDC / and Atrium Health. We were told last Thursday night that a large portion of us in the study that do the blood serum test no longer show any signs of antibodies from the vaccine.   This included some of the study meeting presenter doctors including an ER Doctor.  They said they don't know what that means.   Is there still some protection in cells such as T-Cells?   Anyway the antibodies have stopped showing up.

We were also told that we should wear a mask indoors in crowds for safety.  So I started masking again today.

Not fun but better safe than sorry.

CDC announcement coming this afternoon.

I didn't even have any antibodies from the first vaccine.  Only after the second one did I show any.

Plus the 2nd vaccine made me pretty ill.  So I am afraid to even do a booster or 3rd shot.

White House calls masks 'extra' protection for vaccinated while reiterating 'the vaccines work' | Fox News

The White House was pressed Tuesday on why vaccinated people should return to wearing masks in certain situations since the COVID-19 vaccines are effective in preventing serious disease.

Press secretary Jen Psaki responded to a question from Fox News' Peter Doocy by saying that masks are an "extra step" that provides further protection against COVID-19, while maintaining that vaccines against COVID-19 "work."

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is expected to announce Tuesday that some vaccinated individuals resume wearing masks in certain situations to protect against COVID-19, reversing its earlier guidance that only unvaccinated individuals should wear face coverings.

Per the new guidance, in areas with substantial and high transmission, CDC recommends that fully vaccinated individuals wear a mask in public indoor settings to help prevent spread of delta and protect others.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said Tuesday that fully vaccinated individuals should wear masks in certain indoor areas and advised universal masking for schools regardless of individuals' vaccination status amid rising infections due to the delta variant. CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky later said in a call with reporters that the decision to issue new guidance "was not something we took lightly," but comes amid "worrisome" new science.

(AP) - The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reversed course Tuesday on some masking guidelines, recommending that even vaccinated people return to wearing masks indoors in parts of the U.S. where the coronavirus is surging.

Citing new information about the ability of the delta variant to spread among vaccinated people, the CDC also recommended indoor masks for all teachers, staff, students and visitors to schools, regardless of vaccination status.

The new guidance follows recent decisions in Los Angeles and St. Louis to revert to indoor mask mandates amid a spike in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations that have been especially bad in the South. The country is averaging more than 57,000 cases a day and 24,000 COVID-19 hospitalizations.

But with the delta variant, the level of virus in infected vaccinated people is “indistinguishable” from the level of virus in the noses and throats of unvaccinated people, Walensky said.

The data emerged over the last couple of days from 100 samples. It is unpublished, and the CDC has not released it. But “it is concerning enough that we feel like we have to act,” Walensky said.
