City of Charlotte requires paper bags or personal containers less than 75 pounds for yard waste collection. Small branches that fit the acceptable size can be placed in small piles along the curb for pickup the day prior to your scheduled pickup.
NO TARPS, NO PLASTIC BAGS!
Remember to remove any personal containers by 11:59 PM on pickup day. You can use the large vinyl tote bags with handles as long as they are not overweight.
Same for your Recycling Can and your Trash Can.
Failure to do so could result in fines from $150 to $500 depending on if you have been corrected in the past for the same violation.
Paper bags are no longer being provided by city or county! You must supply them yourself. Bags can be ordered online and obtained at most hardware stores in the area.
