The Novant Health Thanksgiving Parade will take place on Thanksgiving Eve, Wednesday, November 23, 2022. The parade will step off in-person at 5:30 p.m. and air LIVE on WBTV at 6:00 p.m.

Parade Route: The parade will take place along Tryon Street beginning at 9th??¯Street and ending at Good Samaritan Way.

Parking: Ample parking is available around Center City with differing prices. Click here for more information.

Seating: The Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade is a free event. Spectators are encouraged to line Tryon Street from 9th Street to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. However, if you wish to reserve a seat that will be ready for you upon arrival, you may purchase VIP tickets

Join the Cast: Volunteer to participate in the parade as a balloon handler or costume walker.

Food & Drink: There will be several of our Tryon Street vendors offering food and hot/cold beverages.

Parade Broadcast: The parade will air LIVE on WBTV Wednesday, 11/23 at 6:00pm. The parade will also air on WBTV on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas morning.

This category is inclusive of woodwinds, brass, and percussion instruments and may also include auxiliary units of flags, dancers, majorettes and rifles. The selection committee will extend invitations to the top bands to participate in the 2022 Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade.

Selected High School Marching Bands will compete in the WBTV Battle of the Bands. After the parade, viewers will vote for their favorite participating High School Marching Band. The band with the most votes will win the WBTV Battle of the Bands trophy.

Applications for the 2022 parade are now closed. Applications for the 2023 Novant Health Thanksgiving Eve Parade will open in February 2023.
