He told police a masked man shot at his mail truck around 8:30 p.m. Saturday while delivering packages in Madison Park.

The mail carrier said he came upon someone wearing black clothing and a ski mask who darted behind a house.

When the mailman came back to the area 20 minutes later, the same person shot at him.

Gees!  This story is nuts.    It is terrible they are delivering mail in the dark on my street.  I am talking like 7 to 8 pm some nights with a little spot light on their cap.   I am still missing all the mail that was showing on informed delivery that was due at my house last Thursday.   5 letters and none showed up!    

A few days before a carrier came by around 7:15 PM with packages.    I was expecting them from informed delivery.  He said I will be back "Later with your mail!"  Sure enough he returned about 30 minutes later with the postal mail less packages.  

I could see someone thinking someone might be prowling around in the dark, but this sounds perosonal.
