Avoid Pineville Area and I-485 7/11/23 NOW

marty5223 Mentor Charlotte, NC 9610 Posts	Pineville is a mess. Apparently a pedistrian was struck crossing I-485 in Pineville. The roads are horrible. I-485 is dumping on Pineville Mathews Road next to Mall and dumping on to South Blvd. at that exist heading into South Charlotte. Traffic is bumper to bumper if moving at all. It took me nearly 30 minutes to get in the mall from Pineville Mathews and I was already just a block up the road. Traffic coming out of the strip center across from the mall has no place to go and is jamming up all the lanes. BIG Mess! marty5223 Mentor Charlotte, NC 9610 Posts	'Avoid the area': Heavy delays after crash on I-485 in Pineville The I-485 outer loop is closed due to a crash near Pineville-Matthews Road. Traffic is backed up over a mile to South Boulevard. "Avoid the area and expect heavy delays," Charlotte Fire tweeted. Drivers should avoid the area until the scene is cleared. The road isn't expected to reopen until around 5:30 p.m., according to DriveNC. July 11th 2023 Report Reply
marty5223 Mentor Charlotte, NC 9610 Posts	Mary King @MaryKingTV Traffic is at a standstill and DOT signs on I485 Outer Loop say the road is closed starting at exit 64. Charlotte Fire confirms a pedestrian was hit and killed. Traffic is backed up almost to the 77 interchange at this point. @WBTV_News July 11th 2023 Report Reply
