This Monday morning 9/11 around 6:50 am beween Wensley Drive and Camborne Place a fox ran across the road in front of me while walking my dogs. There was one other dog walker even closer than we were. He was heading toward me, but he did not see it. I heard dogs barking between Londonderry and Wensley Drive, and then the Fox ran across the road heading toward the creek behind the homes on Camborne Place, and behind the homes on Wensley Drive. I have only seen one other fox in the neighborhood in 27 years, and that one was on the back of Smith Middle School grounds coming in off Kentland Drive. That was when the field use to be overgrown where the new school sits now. I was a small red fox.
It probably will not bother anyone, but if you have small dogs you don't want them to be a breakfast snack. I would not have my cats roaming in that area. It was moving pretty fast! There were numerous rabbits in the area all spring and summer. I have not seen any the last couple of weeks. I had a rabbit living in my front and side yard until about a month ago. It has not been around for months. The rabbits use to dart around on Seacroft every morning between 6 and 7 am.
Wildlife have to eat, but I don't want the snack to be someones pet.
