In one week I have come across 6 dead snakes in the road.  All small about 8 inches in lenght.   Apparently all ran over.    

1 in 5300 block of Londonderry

2 in 5600 block of Londonderry

3 in the first block of Wensley Drive between Londonderry and Seacroft.

I did not realize snakes such as Copperheads are born late August into September in NC.

Add a dead snake in the 5400 block of Seacroft this am.

I wonder if the snakes are going on the pavement at night seeking a heat source now that it is getting colder.  

That is 7 snakes all similar dead in the street.
