  • 20 new colleges and universities
  • Our first campus and first city Kansas (our 46th state!): Dodge City Community College and City of Wichita
  • Our first campus in Idaho: University of Idaho
  • Our first city in Alabama: Mountain Brook
  • Our first city in Connecticut: New Milford
  • Our first city in Minnesota: Red Wing
  • Our first city in Oklahoma: Ponca City

?Ÿ?‰ And just this week we certified our 200th Bee City! Welcome, Manchester, KY. ?Ÿ?‰

We now have 376 affiliates in 46 states, plus the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our webinars, presentations (both virtual and in-person), tours, and regional meet-ups. It was such a pleasure to get to know our affiliates better. We appreciate your good work.

We have some fun plans for 2024, so keep an eye out for new events and resources!

Warm wishes,

The Sky’s the Limit for Monarchs Wearing Solar-Powered Radio Tags

Our coworker Kass Urban-Mead, Pollinator Conservation Specialist, recently visited Cape May Point Science Center (C to see one of our Xerces habitat kit sites in their courtyard pollinator garden, and while there had a chance to see Cellular Tracking Technologies’ (CTT) new monarch tagging program, Project Monarch, in action.

Learn more about this in a guest post from CTT. Some of our East Coast Bee Cities and Bee Campuses might find this new community science program a worthwhile activity for their communities. We hope you enjoy learning how it works! Read more
