Christmas Tree Collection Schedule

Natural Christmas tree collection will begin on Jan. 1. Trees should be placed at the curb for yard waste collection. Trees should be free of lights, decorations, tinsel, etc. Artificial trees should be scheduled for bulky item collection. You can schedule bulky items by calling 311, visiting curbit.charlottenc.gov or using the CLT+ app.

Solid Waste Services offers collection updates via text. Residents who would like to receive updates regarding impacts to their collection service can text their day of service to 73224. For example, if their collection day is Thursday, they would text “Thursday” to 73224.

For more information, visit curbit.charlottenc.gov.

Trees should go curb side no sooner than the day prior to pick up for natural trees.    Bulk must be scheduled in advance, and pay attention to the date provided either by 311 operator, app or web site.    Place out no sooner for artificial trees, than the day prior to scheduled bulk pickup!

ON the artificial tree if you are getting rid of it, either donate it first, or secondly try to fit it in the trash can.   Only if it does not fit in the can call 311 and schedule bulk.

Remember live cut trees remove all decorations and lights and place it curb side day before regular yard waste pickup.
