Londonderry Back Open After 24 hours of Hell

Posted in: Madison Park

Yesterday am you could not exit Tyvola since a power poll was knocked down in a crash at 4 am.  Then around 8 am 5226 Londonderry had a large branch drop on street and another hang up on powerlines.    I was on phone with 311 to see if landscape managment could address the hanging branch.   The branch began to smoke and I was told hang up call 911.   I called and the truck arrived in time to see the lines ablaze like the burning bush.   Of course they all came crashing down.   Everything between the two poles.     Duke got new lines installed by 5 pm.   Spectrum had to contract out the lower lines and that was done by noon today.

Our blocks were missed for curb side so city is working on getting it covered today possibly.  It was a mess.  We could not go in or out for hours on this end of Londonderry.

City picked up the waste today that they could not access due to blockage in road.    Waste Management just grabbed the green carts so Londonderry is back to normal.

Thanks to the neighbors that helped move and get the yard waste ready.   Storm Work/ TeamWork!

We moved it out of the blocked area so the trucks could access it from Tyvola end.

Spectrum hired a line crew and they got new lines up on Londonderry.   We have one house that has 4 different lines on the ground going to two differnt poles including one across the street.   We think they are old services.    The spectrum line they cut.  That line went down their drive across the neighbors front lawn and blocked their driveway.

We have another 2 lines going down their drive, across their front lawn and then lay on street to a pole on the other side of street.
