Mahncke Park to Pursue NCD

The Mahncke Park Neighborhood Association Board has voted unanimously to pursue a Neighborhood Conservation District designation. The concern of the Board, and many in the neighborhood, is that the present and coming boom of construction around the area may compromise the integrity of the architectural standards that have made our area so desirable.

An NCD will allow for a more ?“predictictable course of development for both neighborhood property owners and the development community,?” according to the City of San Antonio Planning Department?’s Neighborhood and Urban Design Division.

Board member Larry Rickels has agreed to spearhead the effort.
