MP House Tour Benefits Benefit More Than MP

Mahncke Park residents have a another reason to feel good about supporting their neigbhborhood organization. The profits from the 2004 Mahncke Park House Tour allowed the neighbhorhood to grant three local organizations sizable donations. The Botanical Gardens and Lamar Elementary will each receive $500 in the name of the Mahncke Park Neighborhood Association. Also, our neighbor, the Fisher House at Ft. Sam Houston (see picture), will receive $500. For those that don't know, the Fisher House provides temporary housing for families of wounded and ailing soldiers (the U.S. government provides no such assistance).
