Food, Need, and Mahncke Park

The Mahncke Park Christmas Party event will gather neighbors and friends to enjoy hospitality, friendship, and good food (see earlier article). Hopefully, it'll reflect Mahncke Park in the real spirit of the Season: remembering and giving. Remember those who are in need, and give where you can to help.

Our neighbor, Merced Housing at The Elmhurst Place apartments (see related articles), is having a food drive. The MPNA Board is asking neighbors to bring food items such as canned vegetables, box cereals, and other boxed foods (like macaroni & cheese) to the Christmas party for donation to the Elmhurst residents' food pantry.

Of course, you don't have to wait for the party. The need is now and year-round. Feel free to drop off, at any time, any food donations at the residence itself, 130 Elmhurst.
