Below is an email I sent on 1/4/5 to the former and some of the current Mahncke Park Board members. It concerns the future of the MON.
If you have specific suggestions, a critique or praise of the the MON, let me know. I, and I believe the 05 board, would like to know what you'd like done with your online newsletter. You can email me or any member, or, preferably, post your thoughts on the bulletin board (the Talk About It) on the homepage. The latter option would allow the neighborhood to engage in dialogue about the direction they'd like to see the MON take.
I hope to hear from you...
Rene.

Hi all...
I hope everyone had a great holiday. The online newsletter is problematic for me now since I'm no longer "in the loop" on information concerning the neighborhood and I'm wondering what you, as the new board, would like done with it (the MON).
My suggestion is that you assign, via the bylaws, a board member (2nd chair? or even a new position of neighborhood Web master?) to officially undertake the duties of reporting for the board and the neighborhood on the online. I'd like to stay on as an editor/consultant. Could one of you please present this as a board discussion item? Of course, if you'd like, I could take some time to do it myself.
The MON has become a big hit getter and the potential for the neighborhood's future benefit should be considered a major significance. Several neighbors have now emailed me to ask if this is going to go on.
The other concern I have is that I don't want to make this MY Web site. It is, as I think I've treated it, the neighborhood's property. With that in mind, I'm going to post this email as an open letter to the neighborhood and solicit suggestions from neighbors as to what they'd like to see done with it in 05. IF any come in I'll forward to you.
Julie, Marcia, & Larry, could one of you please forward to the other 05 board mems (I'm not sure of their emails).
Thanks,
Rene.
