Brown Water

Residents in the 484 building have reported that their water continually runs brown and that maintenance has not cured the problem. Aside from the aesthetic aspects the MPTA is concerned that this is also a health hazard. Since maintenance periodically shuts the water off to the entire building for what they call routine maintenance why do residents continue to have brown water?
