Hello,
This month I received the quartly bill (J-F-M 2017) from Waste Industries. The price increased by $12 for three months.
They told me the contract with MFMC must be renewed each year. Further conversation, and the current contract does not expire until March 31, 17, so they gave me a $12 credit.
My question is, what is MFMC plan regarding a contract renewal?

We do not and never had a "contract" with Waste Industries. There has been a verbal agreement established years ago for a discount because of the number of homeowners using their service. However, they have frequently raised rates and homeowners have had to call and complain to get a discount. The MFMC Board is not in the business of negotiating contracts with any trash service providers. They were initially approached about the fees as a courtesy to the community resulting in the verbal agreement which they seem to choose not to honor.
