If this is the case - then why are they NOT taking responsibility for the tree maintenance causing State Rep Jacques to say they will be removed? I am at a loss.

My husband has been trimming the trees on the boulevard and reaching as far as his ladder will go, but the job is bigger than one man can handle. Right now he is pretty fired up about the possible removal of the trees. Who beside Jacques do we need to speak to? I would also like Nicole Poore's contact information. I gave her mine at a meeting last year to get on a mailing list (email?) but never received anything. We'd be willing to pay more ourselves in dues to save the trees, as others have stated. I've seen way more community members wanting to keep the trees then have them ripped out.

There has to be a solution!

The GEARHEARTS

Nicole Poore??™s contact information is 302-561-1760 and www.NicolePoore.com Two things to know about the trees: this type of tree only has a lifespan of 20 to 25 years. The best we can figure out their age, they are nearing the end of that lifespan. Mansion Farm was established something like 22 years ago and Caravel Woods went in before MF, which is probably when the trees were planted. I am not at all sure of how a tree ??œdies??? but I suspect that they will begin to fall down and would have to be removed any way. The other important fact about the trees is that, according to a property line map from Nicole??™s office, the trees do not belong to Mansion Farm. They sit exclusively on property owned by Caravel Woods. We just found this out recently. Caravel Woods is the type of community that it??™s not deed restricted and apparently their dues are not mandatory, which is why they are ridiculously low. I suspect that their board requested help from Jacques and his ??œsolution??? was to have the county step in to remove them. Although many of us have become attached to the tree-lined street, their removal (eventually) is inevitable due to their age. So the idea of ??œsaving??? the trees would only be a temporary feat. As they do begin to die they would have to be removed and at that point it would be nice to think about new plantings going in...though I am not sure Mansion Farm should/could get involved in that undertaking since that land does not belong to our development. Just thought I should clear a few things up. Sorry for the unhappy news. I suppose it is worth a call to Poore??™s office. I have always found her to be very caring and helpful. Maybe she can suggest a happier solution?

Thank you. I think there is still a lot of confusion as to the ownership. I'll reach out to Nicole Poore Monday if I can break away from work. Its just frustrating when one person tell us they have confirmation from RC Peoples about the ownership, yet we also find out from another source that it's Caravel Woods. If its out of our hands, then it just is. Can you contact me at cmiller300@msn.com? I have a question for you.

Thank you Embarassed
