Mansion Farm

Meet and Greet

Posted in: Mansion Farm

Hello Everyone!

My husband Larry and I have recently moved into the community. We love it!

We have transplanted from another state and we don't know anyone in the area.  I see many people out on my early morning walks and have said hello to everyone.  I know the summer has been very hot which tends to keep everyone inside.

My question is to find out if there are any social gatherings within community to help meet new people?  If not, I would like to suggest a meet and greet to be able to make new friends, find out common interests and possibly start some little gatherings and clubs.  So far, I have had someone mention that they wish there was a Pickleball court in the area.  We have a lot of playgrounds with some open space that would possibly be a good location.   How does someone present this idea?

We are adventurous types and have been starting to explore some of the area.  My husdand is an avid bicyclist (both regular and e-bike) and he loves to play disc golf.

I love jigsaw puzzles, old fashioned board games and new ones such as Domino Trains.  I love to read and walk about 6 miles a day.  I have found a volunteer opportunity but would love to hear about more chances to do so.

Hope to hear from my new neighbors with any thoughts and ideas.

Thank you,

Pauline

Hello Pauline,

Welcome to the neighborhood! I am a member of the Mansion Farm Maintenance Corporation Board (MFMC). The board is currently looking for a few more volunteers to help fill some openings and work on special projects. Is this something you would be interested in?

MFMC is in the process of creating a newsletter which will be filled with a lot of helpful information.

I'm not sure if you've been to Glasgow Park which is right off of 896/Route 40. They have plenty of what you are looking for at that park.

Look forward to hearing from you about the board volunteer opportunity!

Good Morning,

Yes, I am open to discuss the volunteer opportunities you mentioned.

Please let me know how I may PM you my phone number.

Thank you,

Pauline
