Clark County Code Enforcement staff responds to a wide variety of complaints, and enforces several laws pertaining to the quality of life in unincorporated Clark County.

In Clark County, there are special restrictions on yard debris, inoperable vehicles, and tall grass/weeds. This nuisance ordinance differs between the urban and rural zoned properties. Maple Tree Neighborhood is within the urban zoning classification and the following rules apply:
1. Outside accumulation of more than one cubic yard of waste, rubbish and trash, which is visible from an adjacent property or roadway.
2. The presence of any unattached vehicle or boat parts, or inoperable vehicle or boat that has remained in the same location within the front, side or rear yard and are visible from an adjacent property or roadway for mare than thirty days.

In addition, Clark Code enforcement staff respond to violations of the land use ordinance (Home businesses without approval, setback, signs, and activities not permitted in zoning).
If you have any questions, or you think you have a neighbor who may be in violation, please talk to your neighbor. If talking to your neighbor hasn?’t resolved the problem, you can try mediation or code enforcement.

The Community Mediation Services is part of the City of Vancouver, Office of Neighborhoods. Services are free to any resident of Clark County. The mediation office does not provide counseling or therapy. It does not give legal advise nor does it advocate for any side. Mediation is voluntary and is a positive way to solve difficult problems.
