The Board has been presented with numerous letters requesting help with interpreting the rules. Most new members don?’t know the proper procedure to inform the HOA of a rule violation. The proper procedure is to obtain a violation form from a board member or Diversified. When the violation occurs, remember all the information you can, ask for names if possible, log down the date and time, what rule has been broken, and look around for witnesses. Two people who observed and sign the violation form are ideal for the board to consider that report non-biased. Although this is not necessary, multiple single viewed reports from different people will show a pattern of behavior. The top items that need attention is people hoping the fences and using the spa. They claim they are guests, but according to the rules, a member must accompany a guest while using the facilities. Another issue is the safety of children in the complex. It has been noted that a number of residents are roller-blading, skating and riding bicycles on the sidewalks, darting between cars and shooting out into the roadway in front of unsuspecting motorists. This is very dangerous and against the rules. Sidewalks are for pedestrian use only. For reference, each member has been given the rules, but if you seem to have lost yours, please request a copy from Diversified (800) 569-8386 ext. 0.
