Ambassadors watch their area for homes up for sale or rent. Once a new neighbor moves in, they call to pick up a Welcome Tote. Then, they pay a visit to that new neighbor to deliver it.
This may seem like a small thing - but it takes volunteer TIME which they spend visiting with a new neighbor and making them feel welcome in their new neighborhood.
We are all ambassadors in our own way, so when you know you have a new neighbor, even if you aren't the one delivering the tote, meet and greet our new homeowners. With our best feet forward, we ensure that each new person moving in feels as we do -- that "Marlborough Mesa is 'HOME'".
Some items that are constants. Other things change like the night lights, jar openers, crackers, candles, brochures, magnets, key bracelet, toys, etc. as businesses and city departments donate their "goodies".
We put in the Directory of Services of MM, our website page and a bit of history.
If you would like to "contribute" to your community by visiting others in their new home -- there is always a place for you and this contribution takes so little of your time.
If you only want a Welcome Tote for one neighbor -- that is fine also. These totes are yours -- and FREE for the asking.
