Plans are in the making for painting our fences on Alma School Road and Guadalupe Road. This will take 1/2 of your day on Nov. 20 in the morning if we get 50 neighbors together who are willing to get our neighborhood SPRUCED UP FOR THE HOLIDAYS.

The city will NOT do this for us. However, they will provide FREE paint and rollers. We need to bring the "fuzzy" (Jim corrected me -- "nap") portion of the roller. The fences are looking BAD.

YOUR TIME is needed to do this.

COLOR choices also need to be made/considered. For instance, the city does NOT have the Navajo White for the fence on Guadalupe. The fence on Alma School would be more maintenance free if it were painted the same color as the block now is.

If you would like to have hot dogs in the park afterward -- let me know. We need a coordinator for that part.

After some discussion over the weekend, there may be another option for people power, depending on timing. Regardless, the scouts seem to always be looking for projects, this could possibly be something that one of the scouts (both boy & girls scouts) may be able to lend a hand? Regarding color or paint... any light color, i.e., tan, beige, cream would be an improvement on Guadalupe. The color differences are so minor, I doubt if anyone would notice the difference.
