This weekend (beginning Friday evening, Fed 15th) we will be making improvements to the Discussion Forum. Most of these changes are designed to address issues that Neighborhood Link users have brought to our attention.
First, all posts will now be accompanied by the username of the person posting them. If you have always posted anonymously in the past because your username contains your real name or email address, you will have the chance to change your username before posting in the new discussion area.
Also, we are improving the layout of the Discussions so that all posts in a thread are visible at one time, and making it possible for you to communicate with other neighborhoods.
There will now be a way for anyone to report any post they feel is inappropriate. An automated system will handle the retention or removal of these posts.
Finally, each user will have a rating based on several different criteria chosen to highlight those who are the most respected and helpful. This rating level will be automatically assigned by our server and will change often, reflecting how users are seen within the Neighborhood Link community.
An ''Under Construction'' page will let you know the process is underway.
None of the current posts will be lost; they will all show up in the new format.
We are very excited by these enhancements and we continue to seek your input and ideas for further improvements in the future!
