Many of you have called about using the Clean Sweep program as one of your Neighborhood Watch events. Now is your chance!
CLEAN SWEEP/GREEN SWEEP APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE
The City of Mesa Environmental Management Division is currently accepting applications for its Clean Sweep/Green Sweep Program for the months of:
September through January 2007.
The purpose of this program is to assist Mesa residents in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of their neighborhood. To participate, residents simply need to fill out the appropriate application and gather 10 signatures from their neighbors who also are interested in the program. The City of Mesa will then schedule a date in which large roll-off trash containers will be placed in the neighborhood for residents to dispose of their no longer needed items. There is no cost to participate and neighborhoods are allowed to request one neighborhood clean up event per fiscal year.
Participation in the program is scheduled on a first come, first serve basis, subject to availability. For more information or to receive an application, visit the City?’s Web site at www.cityofmesa.org/waste/Residential/Clean_Sweep.asp or call (480) 644-4791.
