Cable Update

Posted in: Marlborough Mesa
I had a real nice chat this morning with the President of Cable America,
Bill Jackson. He actually answered his own phone. I told him our plight
and he said he would look in to it. Guess what? He called me back about 5
minutes later. Here's the update
The mapping, whatever that is, has been done for this subdivision. This is
the first step in getting cable service here. He asked about fiber
optics. Apparently it takes 30 weeks to get fiber optics ordered. Guess
what, he was told it is in stock. He is checking with construction to see
what the hold up has been down here. He is in Mesa today and will get back
to me after he finds out more info.

Remember our neighbor Jeff? Well he will be reminding Mr. Jackson when he
is in Mesa today to check on the Marlborough Mesa issue.

More to come

re:cable update

Suzanne and Marlborough Mesa community persons and families,

This is Jeff, the one Suzanne Weaver has been talking to and helping our community with the cable choice issue. I talked to Bill Jackson today, my boss, and they are actively pursuing our area now. I would like to personally thank Suzanne and her 50 signatures which helped bring this to his attention. I am hoping this will lead to an actual choice of cable companies south of Guadalupe not only for us, but Dobson Ranch as well. If there are any other members who live in La Jolla Cove apts. that are fed up with choosing Cox, please let me know. I want to work with Marlene to get CableAmerica into the complex, perhaps even package it as FREE with rent.:) I personally have little to do with the cable TV aspect of the company, I'm the Asst. Manager of Internet Services for them and am hopeful once we get fiber optics down here we can offer you internet speed freaks an option of high speed cable modem access. Please let me know if you need further information into CableAmerica's plans.

Sincerely,
Jeff Dannewitz

P.S.
Almost forgot the most important part. The timeline for this is undetermined, but based on experience with area activation, I would say we could see CableAmerica through our TV's but Fall or Winter. I will keep you posted as I share the office with Construction!:)

Sincerely,
Jeff Dannewitz

DSL???? YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please !!!!!!! Let's get DSL lines in here. I run a software consulting/recruiting business from my home, and I have 4 phone lines in here. I would LOVE a DSL line - as my connection to the internet really slows me down, besides the fact that I am constantly getting "booted" by my ISP connection. I'll be your first subscriber!!
