Neighbor's - Using MARLBOROUGH MESA as a POLITICAL entity IS WRONG!!!! Stop using the name of OUR neighborhood, and the location for which WE pay PROPERTY TAXES to promote YOUR ideas REGARDING THE STADIUM!!!!!!! We are not members of this community for your POLITICAL IDEAS!!!!! STOP NOW!!! Residents may place their name on a petition against this stadium idea, but IN NO WAY DO WE FEEL THAT YOU MAY INCLUDE OUR NEIGHBORHOOD NAME WHEN STATING A POSITION ON THIS MATTER. THOSE IN FAVOR OF THE STADIUM ALSO LIVE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD, WHICH WE HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO GREATLY!!!!!
YOU ARE OFFENDING US!!!! WE VOTED AS CITIZENS OF MARICOPA COUNTY FOR THE STADIUM AND IT WAS APPROVED BY A MAJORITY VOTE. YOU DO NOT!!!!! SPEAK FOR US (ALL HOMEOWNERS OF MARLBOROUGH MESA). This Discussion sight should not be used for YOUR political AGENDA!!! This discussion sight should be used for those issues that concern MARLBOROUGH MESA! Not some other neighborhood that wishes to continue to have a view of A WASTE WATER TREATMENT FACILITY!!! STOP ABUSING OUR WEB SIGHT!!!
AND NOW THE FAT LADE HAS SPOKEN!!!!!!!

is it just the wording?
I could be wrong, but I dont think Kevin said MM was supporting anything... the quote in his post was
''to thank all the Marlborough Mesa folks who have voiced support for her neighborhood'' . The key word being ''support''. This would not include any not supporting, thus not the entire neighborhood.
I was pleased to see that a few here are politically active. More should be, no matter what thier beliefs are. Stadium or not, be involved. Take charge of these fools that make decisions for us at the gov level.

Can we talk?
Since when is discussing politics a bad thing? I think it's fantastic to see people getting fired up about subjects we believe in - we need more of it in this society. Americans have become so wound up in their own little world that they ignore the big bad world that is out there. The subject of a stadium is peanuts compared to the death and destruction at home and abroad. But, all in all, it's about time to see people discussing the pros and cons of issues and doing what they can to make their opinions/voices heard (i.e. via petition as opposed to using violence by placing pipe bombs in mailboxes) rather than sitting back with the notion of what can I do? In this neighborhood we all pay taxes to Mesa and therefore the stadium is a Mesa issue so why not discuss it with each other? It's wonderful to hear opinions and share facts about this proposal that effects us all. I applaude the healthy debate!

don't do this?
First of all, have you ever heard of ''freedom of speach''? The constitution of the UNITED STATES gives us ALL the right to say anything we wish, as well as the right to PRINT it. Who died and made you god?
After all the posts you have put here making YOUR comments and feelings knows, you step up on YOUR soap box because YOU feel a certain way.
Wasn't it YOU that got the neighborhood together to keep the school district from realignment. Isnt' this also a POLITICAL issue? Perhaps it was MY child that was one of the ones that wanted to go to Hendrix - this was not the case, but there were some that felt that way.
Ms. Borg, you need to get your head out of your own arse and allow those that you don't agree with to view thier OWN opinion, as they allow you to.
