last night at about 10:40 pm the mailbox at 1148 w. portobello was blown up with a large firework called an M-80 the police were called a a report filed. I did not see or hear any cars leaving right after the explosion which tells me that this was done by local neighborhood kids. With St. Patricks Day today I expect more of this this weekend. The policeman I spoke with said there has been a rise in this kid of activity recently.
